In transit part protection
Highly engineered parts that are machined and treated often require customized, in transit protection between vendors before reaching their final assembly destination. CCS has designed and manufactured hundreds of solutions for our customers that virtually eliminate any risk of part damage while in transit. Our part protection devices are custom constructed of a large variety of materials including plastic, urethane, vinyl, canvas, wood and steel.
In process containment
Many of our customers require unique storage containers with customized dividers systems. Assemblies that are moved through production can be organized in kits that streamline throughput while eliminating damage or component loss to subassemblies. These types of material handling systems can range from ESD material and rather small tray kits for used in electronics manufacturing to large heavy duty rotationally molded plastics designed to hold parts that can weigh upwards of 8,000 lbs.
Final assembly packaging
Any finished good that can be damaged during shipment to your customer can be protected with our customized crating systems, heavy duty reusable spacers and interior dunnage. Our systems insure that your finished goods will not move during shipping.
We design and manufacture all our products from the following materials:
- Plastic
Our plastic part protectors are thermoformed, injection molded and rotationally molded. Parts are made of a large variety of materials including HDPE, LDPE, Polystyrine and various resins. - Urethane
Products are created using both CAST & RIM (Reaction Injection Molding) processes to create solutions for your application. Polyurethane types include L42, L100, L167 and L315. - Wood
We can build customized crates to work with your existing pallets or supply the entire shipment system. Both one way and returnable systems are available. - Open and Closed Cell Flexible Foam
Many of our systems require a foam insert. We have the capability to supply low (dozens) and medium (hundreds) quantities of an extremely diverse range of densities and sizes to fit your particular need. - Structural Foam
Structural custom molded plastics offer a superior strength to weight ratio, lower cost, and the ability to incorporate recyclable materials. Structural foam molded plastics can replace wood, metal, concrete, fiber glass, rotational molding and blow molding in a variety of applications. Containment capacity can be up to several hundred pounds. - Corrugated plastic sheet
This material is available in 16 colors and over 5 different thicknesses. Unaffected by water and stronger than cardboard, corrugated material is still very lightweight and can be used to crate parts and protect from scratching at a very low cost. - Vinyl
Our vinyl protectors are used to safeguard the internal threads of a pipe, valve, or other machined parts. Typically these can be designed to protect the full face of the flange as well as the complete external diameter of the part. The rugged PVC vinyl material not only resists weather, moisture, and chemicals, but does not become brittle and crack like harder plastic injection molded flange protectors. The flexible material also stretches to go on easily while providing a nice sung fit. As an added benefit, this soft material provides an extra layer of cushion against abrasions. - Fiberglass
Many of our customers that manufacture metal parts require containers that are lightweight, easily color coded and resistant to abrasions and impact. Our fiberglass bins are available in a huge variety of sizes and colors and can be customized with matching or clear lids and dollys. - Canvas
Often we use canvas to cover foam or other protective materials that can be used to wrap irregular shaped products.
